Installation of Shikisai Alternative T-shirts
Installation "Christmas" Dec. 9-25. 2005

shikisai designers Noto and Fujimoto were asked to decorate the entrance of Ikejiri Institute of Design (IID) for christmas. their answer was to plant a lot of white t-shirt trees to portray the christmas tree forest covered with white snow. christmas ornaments were printed on all the t-shirts, which were sold as the limited christmas versions of shikisai t-shirt collection. the designers' excuse that they used gold and silver print despite the basic concept "black print on white t-shirt" was quite simple, "because it's christmas!"
