Shikisai Alternative T-shirts at Design Tide
Design Tide in Tokyo 2006 Oct. 31 - Nov. 5 2006
Design Tide in Tokyo 2006 took place in a building along the Meiji street and was highly reputed for its simply decorated interior and the freshness of the exhibition. In the event, shikisai had a booth at the section of Tide Market where designers exhibited their works and at the same time sold the products directly to the consumers.
At their booth, where shikisai's devout faith in the colors of black and white was clearly expressed, they exhibited all 9 designs of shikisai collection and this time they newly introduced a series of "shikisai dog T-shirts", which is a collaborated work with the San Francisco-based modern pet furniture company Everyday Studio.
Thanks to the black and white lucky cats (as you see on the photo above), great numbers of people visited the shikisai booth, including the press, the buyers, and the consumers. Now shikisai is busy for the different kinds of new business which came out from the event. It seemed dogs and cats pulled together to bring the success of the exhibition to shikisai.
